Expedia Corporate Travel launched new policy control features, flight search tools for European clients and reporting capabilities for travel management in multiple regions. It also extended by four years its agreement with TRX, covering "all current and future points of sale for Expedia" and "relieving [TRX] of any further call center obligations for Expedia in the United States and United Kingdom." Expedia uses TRX's transaction processing services through the Correx, Tranxact and Selex products "for corporate and leisure travel in the United States, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Canada, Germany and Italy."

American Express agreed to acquire electronic payment and invoice company Harbor Payments and plans to launch a suite of "source-to-settle electronic solutions" for corporations looking to cut costs, reduce paper processing and improve compliance. As a result, American Express "will significantly broaden its expense management services" for commercial card clients. The new services will be available next year in the United States ahead of a global rollout.

Carlson Wagonlit Travel's new version of CWT Freedom now "automatically delivers travel itinerary information," including updated flight status, to Microsoft Outlook and mobile devices. The functionality will be expanded next month to travelers using IBM Lotus Notes. CWT said the system now works with "all" global distribution systems and "all" online booking tools, as well as its Symphonie platform.
